L’autre jour, en allant au marché aux puces avec quelques potes, on a toutes les trois flashées sur comment étaient habillés ces trois jeunes gens. Comme d’habitude, prise de timidité et de gêne je n’ai pas osé aller leur demander une photo streetstyle, mais mon amie a sans hésité été elle-même. Et ils étaient AD-OR-ABLE. Hyper enthousiastes, gentils, ouverts, c’était top! Encore un graaaand merci à vous si vous passez par ici :’D
The other day, as I was at the flee market with a few friends, we all three fell in love with the way these three people were dressed. Obviously, I didn’t pull myself together and didn’t have the guts to go ask them for a few streetstyle photos but Georgia just went over and asked them for me. And they were absolutely ADORABLE. Really enthousiastic, kind and open-minded. Thanks again and agaiiiin :’D

Sorry for the lateness… I’ve been quite busy and stuff. Fashion weeks’ happening at the moment, I’m so so so jealous of the people who are going. Not so much because they actually get to see the shows (well yes, i would have loved to see Galliano… if he’s even going to be there) but just to take pictures of the amazingness going on outside the shows. It must be fascinating.
Désolé pour le retard… J’étais assez occupé. Fashion week vient de commencer… ah je suis tellement jalouse de ceux qui vont y aller. Pas tellement parce qu’ils vont assister aux shows (quoique, j’aurais tué pour voir Galliano, si il y participe finalement) mais plutôt rien que pour l’ambiance qu’il doit y avoir à l’exterieur et de la photographier. Des couleurs, des motifs, des styles, des textures… grrr, ça doit être fascinant.

Apart from that… for the look, nothing to say really. I wanted to lighten up this dull winter with my red jacket. Haha.
Quant au look, je n’ai pas grand chose à dire… Je voulais illuminer cet hiver avec ma veste rouge haha?

Donc c’est tout pour aujourd’hui. Comme vous avez peut-être remarqué, j’adore tout ce qui est absurde et étrange. Ce qu’on ne peut comprendre et avec des personnages insolites qui rêvassent dans un endroit utopique. Comme si l’artiste avait peint/sculpté/crée son oeuvre lorsqu’il rêvait. Et c’est ça qu’est beau.

Streetstyle #1 - Georgia

I’ve been wanting since quite a while now, a good year, to start taking Streetstyle photos. Here in Brussels. Probably because I often think “wow i love the way she’s dressed” or “wow i love the way he’s dressed” and I just want to take pictures of these people. So then, one day I brought my camera and took pictures of Georgia, a good friend, because I loved the way she was dressed (of course). And then tadaa, motivation, inspiration etc. So i’m starting this 'project’ if I may call it that. Probably starting off with taking pictures of people I know (more or less) and then have the guts to walk up to random people on the streets.
Let’s go!
Ca fait déjà quelques temps, un an, que je crève d’envie de prendre des photos de Streetstyle in Brussels. Je vois des gens passer que ça soit dans la rue ou dans mon école, et je me dis '”wow, j’adore comment elle est habillé'” ou “wow j’adore comment il est habillé” (allons, on ne va pas les oublier quand même!). Et j’ai juste envie de prendre une rapide photo. Juste comme ça. Et puis tout a commencé lorsque j’ai amené mon appareil une fois, en rencontrant Georgia, une amie proche, et que je l’a trouvait merveilleusement bien habillé (comme d’hab) et du coup j’ai décidé de rapidement immortaliser ça. Et là, d’un coup j’étais plus motivée, et inspirée, et j’éspère m’y tenir. En commençant par prendre des gens de mon école et ensuite ramasser tout mon courage pour aller vers des gens dans la rue.

Hey! So i did promise that I’d often update. Omg i’m so amazing cos um, i’m back again today! This time i assembled jean and jean together and added on my faux fur coat. Because I love it. I wore it this summer at the local grocery store with high-wasted shorts and no tights or anything and people looked at me so wierdly. Ha ha. But it’s just so comfy and warm <3

Je suis revenue aujourd’hui comme promis! Hihi. Donc aujourd’hui on envoie le manteau en fausse fourrure parce que c’est juste trop chou et chaud avec du jean et du jean. J’adore cette combinaison. Cet été j’étais allé à notre petit magazin local avec toute cette tenue sauf le collants. En été. Ahah, les regards que je me suis pris. Bref, cette moumoute est juste tellement confortable et chaude que aaah <3

The Dress

Hey guys! Ok, i’ve finally decided for real to start updating this blog alot again. So here’s a new set, to celebrate this ffabulous event. To be honest i’m not very proud of it but it’s a start, right? So i’m giving my oldish H&M dress a go. Cos i love it, i adore that new fashion. I as usual tried to add jewelry (well, i do that with every single outfit so um, no biggie) and flowery print and the jean thingy on top.
Wouhou j’suis de retour pour de vrai (je l’ai dit combien de fois ça?) Mais cette fois-ci je me motive pour souvent updater. Bref, pour célébrer cet évènement de dingue, j’ai fait un premier petit set mais j’suis pas très satisfaite au final. Bref, ça consiste en ma longue robe H&M, j’adore cette mode vraiment trop. Avec les petits imprimés fleuris, la veste sans manche en jean et les colliers habituels.

Sorry guyz i need to get regular at blogging haha. Anyhoo, in this outfit i’m wearing an old boring checked top mixed with floral-printed shorts (so has-been :p <—joke joke just pointing out my super superficiality). AND. AND. AND. CLOGZZZZZ ! Youpidou,i’ve wanted the, for so long. They’re amazing, i’ve practised walking for hours in heels and shit, and they’re so comfy and you just slip your foot in and wow. i like :)
And a feather head band, DIY people. Just cos… i’m lovin’ feathers right now.

Désolé, je ne suis toujours pas régulière quand ça en vient à blogger régulièrement. Mais passons, je vais faire un effort. Dans cette tenue je porte une vieille chemise à carreaux avec un short imprimé fleuris, toujours in love avec le mix d’imprimés (même si le fleuri, c’est trop HAS-BEEN :p) Bref, ET. ET. ET. DES SABOTS ! Youpidou, hyper contente. Déniché chez Mango pour pas cher et franchement, achat top. Après des heures d’entorses et de marches tremblantes, je suis désormais à l’aise avec. En plus, j’adore les chaussures faciles à en filer et celles-ci sont vraiment cool pour ça, et très belles. Enfin personnellement j’adore le côté un peu campagnarde et cool-raoul.
Et pour terminer, le petit bandeau à plumes fait-maison… parce que, hum, j’adore les plumes.

Battle of the broken hearts

A new look, at last. I’ve mixed leopard and floral this time, and more floral, in order to break the look the leopard tights could give. Oh yes, i bought them in a kind of “oh gosh these look funky” thing in december. As well as the dress that i got off a flee market, it’s actually precious velvet, and it’s really old, like 50 years, and i lurve the shape :)
Enfin un nouveau look. J’ai mixé l’imprimé leopard et fleuri et c’était bien trippant, de telle sorteà casser le côté un peu ahem que les collants pourraient donner. Bref, je les ait achetés sur un coup de folie du genre “whoah c’est funky” en décembre mais j’suis happy :) La robe aussi vient d’une petite vente de vêtements fripés et elle est en velour et tout simplement gorgeous au niveau de la coupe.

I’ve been obsessed with floral recently. Floral prints but not just on tee-shirts and dresses but on shoes, pants, leggings, socks, head-bands, necklaces, anything really. Anywhere you wouldn’t necessarily expect them to be.
And then i stumbled across this pair in H&M. Like The Perfect Amazing Must-Have pair. And TADA i now own them.
Je suis obsédé avec les petites fleurs en ce moment. Mais pas seulement sur les tops, comme on les voit d’habitude, mais aussi sur les pantalons, les leggings, les chaussettes, les chaussures, les serres-têtes, les colliers, un peu de tout vraiment. Là où on serait surpris de les retrouver.
Et tada, voilà qu’il y’a quelques temps, je suis tombée sur La Paire De Mes Rêves chez H&M. Ils m’appartiennent désormais (et je les chéris haha).

Yes, i know, mixing prints is generally a bit of a no-no. But in this case, I actually liked it. I wanted to give the whole look a casual but vintage feeling and found that the mixture of stripes, flowers, denim, and printed-tee responded to that. :)
Oui, je sais, le mélange d’imprimés est en général assez mal vu. Mais dans ce cas-ci, je trouve que ça donne un petit côté vintage et à la fois casual, et que le mélange de fleuri, rayé, jean, et tee imprimé ne rend pas trop mal ?

Let’s speak general stuff. I don’t live in Paris anymore. I now live in Bruxelles. Wouhou clapclapclap i love my life. If there are any little Bruxelles inhabitants reading this and you feel as lonely as i do well… Hi !
This spring/summer i love flowers. I still love teapots too. I love mixing things that don’t go well together. I love weird little objects. I would love a crop top, like the pale pink one in H&M and the perfect denim jeans i’ve been looking for over the past year. I love and hate the way Alice (from Wonderland) has become a fashion icon.

Je hais et j’adore l’icône de mode 'qu’est devenu Alice (des pays Merveilles) aussi.

J'ai enfin reçu mes collants magnifiques provenant de eBay. Je sais, ils sont en quelque sorte 'passé' maintenant. Mais ils sont beaucoup trop beaux pour surfer à côté sans enchérir! MUST HAVE.

Here is a new dress I get on Zara. I'm SO in love with it. I love all those details small, tiny, buttons on the front. And the fact that you can turn it into a corset, by taking the straps off! Now isn't that ingenious of Mr/Mrs Zara? I think it is. Anyways, seeing as it was 40 euros, and I only had 20 euros on me (only 20 for a WHOLE shopping day in Paris, and I still managed to get 5 lovely things and a a Cheeseburger. I should write a book on 'Shopping day in Paris: How to get lovely things with the smallest budget ever, 20 euros. I think it would be very successful amongst broke teenagers like me ;p) , anyways, so my mum accepted to pay for it. YAY. So my friend lent me the money and I swore that I would take it back if she didn't like it. At the beginning, she did. Until it became a nightmare and she went crazy over the fact that it apparently was too short. And that naughty men and blablabla. Humhum. You get the picture. Horrible. Though my dad stuck up for me, and my mum drowned with the pressure coming from my side and gave up. But forced me to put that 'jupon' (how do you call it in Engl?) under it. UGLY though still happy :D

Voici la nouvelle robe que je me suis trouvé chez Zara. Je l'adore. Elle a de magnifiques boutons rouges, tout petits, tout détaillés sur un motif encore une fois fleuri. Et le petit plus, c'est qu'on peut la mettre et corset, grâce aux petites bretelles détachables. Si ça n'est pas beau, ça? Merci à Mr/Mme Zara. Enfin bref, j'avais que 20 euros sur moi alors qu'elle en coutait le double. Et saviez vous que j'ai réussi à faire la journée entière à Paris avec seulement 20 euros sur moi, en m'achetant quatres fringues et UN cheeseburger (et des frites hehe). Ca aussi c'est assez sensationnel je trouve, je devrais même en ecrire un livre 'Une journée de shopping à Paris: mini-budget, 20 euros). TADA! Ok, bref, donc ma mum a accepté de me l'offrir, mais elle n'était pas presente (blabla) et donc mon amie m'a filé ce qu'il fallait. Bref, j'ai promis a mum que je l'échangerai si elle n'aimai pas cette petite perle. Et guess what? Elle aimait bien. Coolcool. Enfin, ouais. Jusqu'a ce que je l'essaye devant elle humhum. Là elle a peté un cable gueulant que c'était trop court comme d'hab. Et qu'il y'avait tout de même des mecs pas nets dans ce monde et que je pouvais pas me trimbaler en rue avec ma robe s'envolant à chaque coup de vent. Non mais je rêve... Bon je vous passe les détails de la suite. Mais sachez que je l'ai toujours (thanks to dad) :D Par contre c'est jupon obligatoire hehe.
